Isaiah 4:5, 6 (AMP)

5And the Lord will create over the whole site, over every dwelling place of Mount Zion and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory shall be a canopy (a defense of divine love and protection). 6And there shall be a pavilion for shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge and a shelter from storm and from rain.

Whatever definition we use to identify the meaning of favor – graciousness, kindness, approval, and acceptance – it must include alignment.

Divine alignment has always been God’s prerequisite for obtaining His favor.  Favor from God brings an advantage, substance and weight which enhances and empowers our abilities.

Since family is God’s premier institution on the earth, you can rightly conclude He wants every Christian family to enjoy favor.

The favor God most desires for us as individuals and as families is the presence of His glory.  When we align our family with His divine order, we experience the fullness of God’s provision.

God wants to fill every house with His glory.  His presence will bring hope, healing, wholeness and happiness into the family. Glory is God’s promise of His radiant presence available to any individual, family or group who will align with His divine order.

Four things will assist you in bringing His glory to your family:

1. Fill your home with worship.

2. Assess the details of your family life.

3. Insist on truth and integrity with each family member.

4. Do not allow anything that is unclean, impure, or sinful into your home.

Continuously pray and store up prayers around God’s throne for your children and your children’s children to the third and fourth generation.

Webster defines “friend” as a “favored companion.”

Aristotle said, “A friend is a single soul dwelling in two bodies.”

Having friends and being a friend are both essential elements in the health of our spirit, soul, and body.

The three great commands of scripture teach us the value of close, intimate relationships:  Love God,  Love your neighbor,  Love one another.

Enduring, trusting, loving relationships are more important to us than success and achievement.

“A friend loves at all times.”

Friendships are very important and very necessary in our lives and have a great influence upon who we are and who we become.

Good friends strengthen us, nurture us, and help us grow.  Good friendships affect the health of our spirit, soul and body.

Each of us has a deep “longing for belonging.”  We want to be “wanted, accepted, affirmed, appreciated, enjoyed, loved and nurtured.”

A “friend of the heart” are those enduring kinds of friendships with those who sometimes know us better than we know ourselves and love us anyway.

God is continually pursuing a love relationship with each of us.  His greatest desire is to call us His friends.

No one can ever live a real, genuine, authentic, purpose-filled life without experiencing a personal, intimate relationship and friendship with Jesus.

Only Jesus can ultimately satisfy our compulsion for completion.

The most powerful relational principle in God’s Word says –

We cannot love until we first experience love – God’s love.
