If you missed this weekend at TheChurch on Strayer…

Isaiah 4:5, 6 (AMP)

5And the Lord will create over the whole site, over every dwelling place of Mount Zion and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory shall be a canopy (a defense of divine love and protection). 6And there shall be a pavilion for shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge and a shelter from storm and from rain.

Whatever definition we use to identify the meaning of favor – graciousness, kindness, approval, and acceptance – it must include alignment.

Divine alignment has always been God’s prerequisite for obtaining His favor.  Favor from God brings an advantage, substance and weight which enhances and empowers our abilities.

Since family is God’s premier institution on the earth, you can rightly conclude He wants every Christian family to enjoy favor.

The favor God most desires for us as individuals and as families is the presence of His glory.  When we align our family with His divine order, we experience the fullness of God’s provision.

God wants to fill every house with His glory.  His presence will bring hope, healing, wholeness and happiness into the family. Glory is God’s promise of His radiant presence available to any individual, family or group who will align with His divine order.

Four things will assist you in bringing His glory to your family:

1. Fill your home with worship.

2. Assess the details of your family life.

3. Insist on truth and integrity with each family member.

4. Do not allow anything that is unclean, impure, or sinful into your home.

Continuously pray and store up prayers around God’s throne for your children and your children’s children to the third and fourth generation.

Perhaps that phrase – “Carpe Diem” – Seize the day or the moment – best describes our now season at theChurch.

The only way to seize the day is to be present in the present.

Let me ask you a question – do the dimensions of your living equal the dimensions of His purpose for your life?

His purpose for you is pregnant with divine possibility but integrated with human responsibility.

We are to place each day in the balance and make it tip the scales in a way that will bring glory to God and blessing to the lives of others.

In order to seize the day, the moment, we must do three things:

1)   Walk (live) purposefully.

2)   Walk (live) as wise people.

3)   Redeem the time.

The ultimate aim of God knowledge is control.  His purpose for us is that we would “let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.”

The most important principle for human growth and development is how you respond to your seasons.

You determine the value of you; you determine the value of your time; you determine the quality of your effort.
